Jake Brower: Lead Pastor
If you would have told me ten years ago that today I would be a lead church planter, planting a new church from the ground up, I would have said you were crazy. God has brought me to this place, in this time, for this work, and I feel so privileged to be a part of what He is doing. I have been involved in ministry inside and outside the church for over ten years, and being a pastor's kid, I have been surrounded by ministry my entire life.
My ministry calling first came to me as a freshmen in high school while leading a group of 6th grade boys at a Young Life camp in Southern California. I spent the weekend feeling completely out of my element. I felt inadequate in just about every way, but it was that weekend that I got my first taste of being used by the Creator to usher another soul into the family of God and I have never looked back.
I spent the next six years of my life working in and for Young Life, and my love for the King and passion for His Kingdom grew.
I moved to Nebraska in the spring of 2002 with my family to continue pursuing my degree at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. It was during the next three years while living in Kearney, that God began creating in me an intense passion for the Church. I worked as a youth pastor there while being given the opportunity to cultivate my skills as a musician and worship leader.
In the winter of 2005, I graduated from UNK with a degree in secondary education. We decided to move to Ashland, NE to be a part of a new church plant called Riverview Community Church.
My call to church planting came in the context of my partnering with my parents at Riverview Community Church where I ministered as the youth pastor and worship pastor for three years. Over those years, I watched the Life-Giving Lifestyle transform me, my family and so many others that God afforded me the opportunity to disciple. It was in this vein that I was called to plant Finding Life Church.
I am currently enrolled in seminary and enjoy that while I continue to do ministry in the real world.
Apart from Christ, I am a broken, sinful, worthless human, with very little to offer even from a human standpoint. But in Christ I stand complete and powerful, filled with the Spirit and equal to the task of being a warrior for the kingdom of Jesus Christ. What an amazing reality to live in, huh?
Kyle Peters: Student Life Pastor
I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to lead this amazing group of student life volunteers and that together we get to build relationships with the students of Finding Life and the Omaha community. Together with my wife Amanda, we love connecting with students on Wednesday nights and often in our home with meals and games. Both of us have so many memories growing up of different youth leaders who impacted our lives and helped us grow in our faith in Jesus. We’re thankful God has brought our family to a place where we can serve at Finding Life.
I was a volunteer with Omaha Youth for Christ seven years in the Westside and Millard South districts and have been a part of the club that meets with Finding Life for the last three of those. Partnering with Youth for Christ clubs, we get to run games inside local schools and get to connect with kids where they already are. Then we invite them to our events and Wednesday night activities.
Amanda and I were born and raised in Nebraska. She’s from Kearney and I’m from Lincoln. We met in college at Grace University in Omaha and have been married since 2007. Our two boys, Noah and Josiah, are an incredible blessing to us and we enjoy getting to the park or the zoo in Omaha and many other activities with friends or family.
Anne Marie Brower : Kids Life Director
I am privileged to be a part of leading these precious children we collectively refer to as "Kids Life."
My husband, Jake, and I both grew up in Southern California and have been in Nebraska now over a decade. We have three great kids ranging from high school to elementary school.
I love how past experiences have given me tools to use in this ministry but at the same time, I feel a certain level of inadequacy which is how I'd always like to keep it. I always want to be in process. I know I will never arrive. That is one reason I am loving working alongside Lindsay. Kids Life is definitely a team effort. We do the best we can with the 30 minuutes or so we have with the kids, but the best thing we can do is love them while they're there and pray, pray, pray for their hearts at home. Kids Life transitions to family life which is where the real leading happens- at home.
These kids are the leaders and church planters of the future and we are excited to get to share in teaching them that God is a-ma-zing and He wants to use them right now in their young lives. I love their faith and energy. I love how they're ridiculous. I love what God is doing in these kids.

God has given me a passion for children. Ever since I can remember I have loved kids.I babysat every chance I could get , worked in a daycare and couldn't wait until the day I would have my own kids. Now, married and three beautiful daughters later, I feel that God has a greater purpose for this love.
Being asked to co-lead Kids life with Anne Marie is humbling. For me, there is no greater calling than to share God's love and grace with our children. Kids absolutely amaze me! I love how quickly they learn, how easily they forgive and how real they are. Honestly, I feel like I learn just as much from them as they hopefully do from me, and I cannot wait to see what God has planned for each and every one of them.
