Life-Giving Prayer

Did you experience God this week? What do you need to do to have more worship experiences? So why don’t you more often?

Life-Giving Truth

Did you think about last week’s truth, and the concept of the “True” church? What if any thoughts have you had?

This week’s truth: The “True” church is built on grace

Read Acts 15:1-5

What is going on here? Why is it a problem? (Salvation comes by works, eg. Circumcision)

The leaders in the church in Jerusalem have fallen back into a religious, behavior driven mindset about their faith, Why do you think that is a natural thing for people to do?

In what ways do you find yourself approaching God and people with a behavioral oriented mindset? Why?

Read Romans 11:6

Why can’t grace and religion co-exist?

Read Acts 15:8-11

What is this passage saying about grace and religion?

What happens to the church when we put rules, and religion ahead of grace and relationship?

How have you seen that true of churches you have been part of? Are there any ways that FLC has slipped into a behavioral orientation? IS there anything we do at FLC that might accidentally allow people to live a behavior/religion oriented life?

Why is it so important to make sure that never happens?
