What does the word justification mean?
What is it’ significance to your faith?
Read Romans 4:1-25
Why do you think Paul uses Abraham as an example for justification by faith and not by works?
Make sure people understand that Abraham’s example is powerful because he lived prior to the cross. In other words, the work of the cross transcends time and space. It has always been about faith. When you were born, God had already accomplished the work necessary for your salvation. It has nothing to do with you!
Truth: Faith is all that counts
Why do you think faith is so important in your relationship with God? Why is it so difficult?
Who do you think is responsible for faith? You or God?
Read Hebrews 12:2
Who does this passage say is responsible for creating faith in our lives?
Are you relying on your own ability to “have faith,” or are you relying on God?
Have you ever asked God to increase your faith? Why or why not?
End your time together by praying healing prayer for anyone who is admittedly struggling with faith. We must daily ask God to increase the tiny faith we as humans are capable of.
