Do you naturally see the practical/spiritual needs in the people around you? Why is that the first step toward living the value of immersion?
Read Mark 5:21-35
Why do our rigid schedules and busy lives get in the way of living this value?
What would have happened if Jesus would have chosen to stop what He was doing to love this woman?
In what ways do you see Him changing his life/plans? Why does He?
How do you feel in general about changing your plans, staying flexible, and giving away time that doesn’t feel like it’s there to give?
Now how do you feel about doing all that for a person that is really un-lovely, even offensive?
When we find ourselves stopping and changing our plans for people simply to show them Christ we are finally living the value of immersion. Challenge each other to stop even one time this week... Brainstorm simple smalls ways you can give of yourself to the people around you this week. Time, not things.
-Linger by the mailbox
-Stay late at work just to talk
-take cookies to the neigbors
-Invite them over
Now do all that while pray and watching, and you are living the value of Focus through the power if immersion!
