What was the truth from last week? Did the value of Dependency take deeper root in your heart this past week as you thought about it?
How does the value of Authenticity make you feel? Do you, at the heart level, really believe that, “Real is better than perfect,” or is it just a concept you want to believe?
Read Mark 10:17-22
How is Jesus teaching the value of authenticity in this story? Why is it silly to try to pretend with God?
In what ways are you still trying to impress God? How does that keep you from relationship with Him?
In What ways are you trying to impress other people?
Read 2 Corinthians 11:30; 2 Corinthians 12:8-10;
How does Paul handle the weakness and failure in His own life? How is his perspective different, and what is the result?
When we admit and embrace our weakness, what does the above verses say about what happens? (The strength, perfection and power of God can shine through)
